West Coast hip-hop producer and Businessman J.Wells founded Bonzi Records in 2005. By way of Los Angeles,  J.Wells’ notable production credits include T.I., Nipsey Hussle, Keyshia Cole, Ne- Yo,  Snoop Dogg,  Estelle, and others. Bonzi Records’ signed a global distribution deal with Universal Ingrooves Distribution in late 2006 and is currently distributed by parent company Virgin Music Group. The company launched its first release in 2007 with Kurupt album title “Digital Smoke”. Which garnished massive reviews in the LA Times, Source, and XXL. The company went on to release in 2009 “Get Addicted” by J Ro of Tha Liks, also in 2009. Bonzi Records signed D. Woods of Danity Kane and released “Legalize Me”, In 2010 Bonzi released Kokane’s sixth solo album “Gimme All Mine”. In 2011 the company released “The Academy” compilation which features: Jadakiss, Styles P, Redman,Method, Kurupt, Royce Da 5’9 and over 50 MC’s on one album. Bonzi released LilScrappy’ “The Grustle” LP in 2012. The album sold massive singles, including “Helicopter” Feat. 2 Chainz, & Twista, and “No Love”, featured on VH1’s Love & HiHop.

In 2012, Ingrooves appointed the founder of company to handle official consultant and aggregator services for new labels and existing labels. This agreement led to Bonz creating a label service division of the company entitled Bonzi Entertainment. Through label services division the company handle marketing campaigns and administration for Sir Michael Rocks, Casey Veggies, Orlando Jones, Ruff Ryders, Donell Jones, Lloyd, Kenny Lattimore, Ray-J and others. Bonzi label service division recently inked a deal with Empire distribution as an official aggregator for artist drive digital labels. Under this contract Bonzi handles all marketing and administration services for its sub-labels distributed by Empire.

Our current focus is developing new talent and offering distribution, content creation, and marketing services.

We are located in Atlanta in Midtown our facility has a state of the art recording studio which is availabe to our artist and its alos open to public.
